Microsoft has jumped the gun on its November update for DirectX, although there doesn't seem to be any information as to what it updates.
However, the interesting part is that it seems to be for all operating systems, including Windows Vista, so hopefully it adds something useful.
You can grab the update here without having to validate your operating system and all that rubbish.
